Realtor Hire: An Invaluable Service In Your Home Buying Process.
Your REALTOR is a priceless community resource that will that will help you to navigate the maze of home buying steps, avoiding traps and headaches.
Your REALTOR is an allied to conquer the 200 pieces puzzle of your home buying process and get it closed with all the professional help you need to buy your home!
A while back the National Association of REALTORS identified a list of 180 steps potentially involving each home sale …Luckily not ALL transactions involve ALL 180 steps! I certainly should hope not!
However, I have seen some folks who have identified 200 steps!
I, myself have identified a few new ones NOT in that, now famous,
NAR 180 steps list ...the most important one is to keep you laughing because the process can be stressful, it is very important to keep the faith and keep cool all throughout!
The old adage – “laughter is the best medicine,” also applies to your home buying experience!
And in many cases, it can save your sanity as well!
Especially if you are in a ‘seller’s market’ when your highest possible offer will compete with another dozen suitors!
A good REALTOR will help to keep your chin up! And keep the faith!
Your Local REALTOR Knows Your Market
Your local REALTOR knows your market, sometimes they have decades of experience working in the neighborhoods you want to buy your home.
In my case, I have 18 years ‘pounding the pavement’ around me!
REALTORS are indeed valuable resources in your home buying market.
They bring an array of knowledge that is difficult to match: They will save you tons of time and headaches a-plenty!
Did you know that there are more than 180 steps leading to successfully close on your home? I mean outside what I pointed out above, in this page?
Mind twisting isn’t it?
Although there is no silver bullet, no “one size fits all” kind of thing, there is some method to the process that, if you are aware of it and if you follow it to a certain degree, you can avoid the swirls and doldrums of madness the home hunting can become.
One of the first decisions that you might keep in mind when you set off your home buying process is to make a decision of whether or not you will enlist the services of a local real estate agent who is knowledgeable of your area or if you will tackle it the heck on your own.
It is not impossible to do the whole process by yourself – I have done that once prior to become an agent!
However, you will be working twice as hard – with no added benefit.
FYI: A REALTOR® is a "real estate agent" who belongs to the National Association of Realtors (NAR)
Other that your local real estate agent can deliver a job as good if he/she cares for thy clients the way every professional should do whether belonging to an association or not.
…If you are curious, yes, we are supposed to spell REALTOR® with all capital letters and append that little are for trade mark.
I am a REALTOR®
Here Is What A REALTOR Hire Brings To The Table
These highly skilled professionals bring an array of knowledge that is difficult to match:
They have to study prior to be licensed, a course study that is regarded among the most difficult to master amongst ‘vocational’ professions.
Once licensed, they are regulated by the State Real Estate Commissioner, whose highest mandate is to protect the consumer and that means you the homebuyer.
All real estate agents are required to take a certain number of continuing education classes to maintain their license, so the professionals are always honing their skills
They have access to multiple listings service– a computer database where virtually 100% of house for sale are listed - with daily updates on all homes that come in the market. It also provides up to the minute Information on price – thing that you probably would not have on your own.
Because agents are on the field daily, their information is always fresh and up to the minute.
It Is Your Call
When you decide for a REALTOR hire, you will develop working relationships with many other professionals that will come to play in the process of acquiring you home: home inspector, contractor of all sorts, surveyors, residential loan bankers [loan officers], real estate attorneys all of whom play crucial roles in expediting the process and bringing it to a successful …and, hopefully – at a low level of stress.
Naturally, the final decision is yours!
As I said above I did it once without the benefit of a real estate professional – but it would have been ways more enjoyable if I had counted with one.
…Hey, now you know that REALTOR hire will cost you very little or, most likely, no money at all! And perhaps it will be the best hiring that you will ever make!
My friendly advice is that you get recommendations from family and friends and – very early on your home buying process do hire a real estate professional.
You will be surrounded by people who care and have the knowledge to make a difference in the process and put you over the hump to successfully bring you to close on the home your so richly deserve.
You will be glad that you did!
